Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt pre-flop. It’s the strongest possible pre-flop hand inholdem Poker. But regardless a great many competitors end up on the wrong end when given this hand.
When you are given a set of Aces, you just do not fold pre-flop. You’re sitting with the best possible hand at this stage of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.
Bear in mind, you are trying to produce as much money from this strong position. You will want to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will merely drive most competitors into folding before putting a wager.
If you’re in the starting position (1st or second to wager), you’ll place a single wager. Any person with decent cards will call, with luck someone might raise. If there has been a raise don’t hop to re-raise or call, pause for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your course of action will be to eliminate any player that might get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise boldly, if you’re lucky you’ll fool one player into believing that you’re tricking.
If you are in the middle or late position (one of the last to cast a bet) you will watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you’re sitting with a pair of aces, if you can try to avert a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing the other players fold after the flop. If you do not drive out your opponents you risk squandering your hand.
