Online poker has become globally famous recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players acquire five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the wager is the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays out money equal to your ante and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
