Novice Strategy for Double-Hand Poker
August 16th, 2019 by Noelle

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete against other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t need to worry about any other, more skillful gamblers winning their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game play, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make frenzied choices.

It is also easier to wager on for an extended time with only a small bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the house is dealt 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and a two card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
