Poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the initial bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
